Conclusions
As what was expected, the study shows proof that hound’s tongue will more than likely spread north with climate change. However, the model could be better predicted for current as well as future locations if there was more research done on what conditions hound’s tongue will flourish. Given the restriction of the location data as well as growth criteria of hound’s tongue, the results of this research would be most beneficial for those trying to locate hound’s tongue. The importance of removing this species is of special concern to all animal owners, whether it is a domestic animal or livestock. Overall the results show the importance of not restricting locations of invasive species to public feedback, but rather to go beyond public feedback and explore areas where hound’s tongue could be. As the results of the study indicate, there are areas outside of the current range where hound’s tongue could be found.
